    Is CloudPe Right for You?

    Choose CloudPe if:

    • You are paying GCP pricing for infrastructure that has nothing to do with BigQuery or Vertex AI. That is the most expensive mismatch in the GCP customer base.
    • You run web applications, databases, APIs, or SaaS products on GCP. All of them would run faster and cheaper on CloudPe.
    • You need GPU infrastructure in India, on demand, priced in rupees. GCP's GPU availability in Indian regions is inconsistent and dollar-denominated.
    • Your compliance requirements under DPDP, RBI, SEBI, or IRDAI need Indian-owned and Indian-operated infrastructure. GCP's India regions satisfy physical location but not ownership and governance.
    • You are on GCP's lower support tiers and getting generic, slow responses with no real relationship

    Choose Google Cloud if:

    • Your business depends on Google's proprietary data and AI stack. BigQuery, Vertex AI, Looker, Dataflow. These are genuinely differentiated products with no direct equivalent.
    • Google's managed AI services are central to your product, not peripheral to it

    Why Indian Businesses Choose CloudPe

Purpose-built for India — the infrastructure, compliance, and support that Google Cloud can't match.

H200 GPUs in India — Right Now

CloudPe is one of the first Indian clouds to offer NVIDIA H200 GPUs domestically. GCP's newest GPUs are rarely available in their India regions.

    Dramatically Simpler Compliance

GCP's data residency requires configuring Assured Workloads, Resource Locations policies, and org-level constraints. CloudPe stores everything in India by default — compliance is built in.

    3x More India Coverage

GCP covers Mumbai and Delhi. CloudPe adds Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru. Your South India, East India, and West India users all get <5ms latency.

    Zero Egress, Simple Pricing

GCP's egress pricing tiers are complex ($0.08–$0.12/GB depending on destination). CloudPe charges nothing. One less line on your bill.

    What Indian Regulations Actually Require

For Indian businesses, where your data is stored is a legal decision. Here are some compliance requirements you need to follow.

    DPDP Act 2023

GCP's India regions are physically in India but governed by a US corporation subject to US law, including CLOUD Act provisions that allow US government access regardless of physical location. CloudPe is Indian-owned, Indian-operated, and subject to Indian jurisdiction only. No cross-border governance ambiguity.

    RBI Compliance

The question is not just where the data sits but who controls the platform it sits on. GCP's Mumbai region satisfies physical localisation. Indian regulatory comfort with foreign platform governance is a separate and growing concern. CloudPe removes that concern by design.

    SEBI and IRDAI

Satisfying vendor accountability, audit rights, and data governance requirements on GCP requires significant documentation and legal structuring. On CloudPe, Indian regulatory alignment is structural. The documentation burden is substantially lower.

    Certifications vs Jurisdiction

Google's compliance certifications are real. But a platform can hold every certification available and still create DPDP exposure when it operates under foreign legal jurisdiction. Indian regulators are drawing this line more clearly with every update to implementation guidance. CloudPe is on the right side of that line by default.

    Common Questions

We use BigQuery and Vertex AI. We cannot move off GCP.

Your data and AI workloads on BigQuery and Vertex AI do not have to move. Many businesses run a hybrid setup where proprietary Google workloads stay on GCP while standard compute, storage, and GPU inference workloads move to CloudPe. You get the cost savings on everything that does not need Google's proprietary stack while keeping the tools that genuinely depend on it. This is not an all-or-nothing decision.

GCP's pricing is already competitive compared to AWS and Azure.

GCP is generally cheaper than AWS and Azure on standard compute. CloudPe is still 20 to 40% cheaper than GCP on equivalent workloads, with INR billing and no egress fees. For Indian businesses paying GCP bills at scale, the rupee difference compounds significantly over 12 months. A line-by-line cost comparison on your current GCP bill takes 30 minutes and produces a number worth knowing.

We store data in Google Cloud Storage. Migrating is complex.

CloudPe's object storage is S3-compatible and works with standard migration tooling that supports Google Cloud Storage exports. Most storage migrations are straightforward data transfers, not architectural overhauls. At Rs. 3.10 per GB on CloudPe versus GCP's storage pricing, the savings on storage migration pay for the migration effort quickly.

GCP has good GPU availability in India. Why do we need to switch?

GCP's GPU availability in Indian regions is subject to capacity constraints and is not always on-demand. Reserved commitments are required for consistent access. CloudPe's GPU instances including NVIDIA H200, H100, and A100 are available in India on demand, priced in rupees, with no long-term commitment required. For teams running inference workloads that need to scale up and down, on-demand availability matters more than nominal availability.

We are concerned about support quality during migration.

CloudPe runs a parallel environment during migration. Your GCP setup stays live while the new environment is built and validated on CloudPe. Cutover happens only when your team has signed off on everything. CloudPe's 120+ L2/L3 engineers are available 24/7 throughout the process with an average resolution time of under 2 hours. Migration support is not a separate paid tier. It is part of the relationship.

What should we do if we have GCP committed use discounts that are still running?

Start with net new workloads or workloads not covered by committed use discounts. Migrate progressively as discount terms expire. CloudPe has no minimum commitment, no lock-in, and no egress fees. The savings on new workloads begin immediately while existing GCP commitments wind down on their own timeline.

CloudPe vs Google Cloud — Common Questions

Yes. CloudPe offers NVIDIA H200 and L4 GPUs in India — often newer and more cost-effective than what GCP makes available in its India regions. Pair that with INR billing and zero egress, and CloudPe is significantly cheaper for training and inference at scale.

Yes. CloudPe Object Storage is S3-compatible. Use rclone or the CloudPe migration CLI to move GCS buckets. Our team offers free migration support for data up to 50 TB.

CloudPe Managed Kubernetes offers the same core features as GKE — auto-scaling, rolling updates, ingress, and RBAC — at a lower cost in India. You also avoid GKE's cluster management fees.

CloudPe doesn't lock you into committed-use discounts. You can scale up or down month-to-month. If you have existing GCP CUDs, our team can help you plan a phased migration timed to your commitment expiry.
